Writing Thoughts
December 15, 2008
I have more ideas for books (and ones begun) than I can finish in my life time. Some I don't even want to complete; others I'd love to have already written.
I get new (and better?) ideas before I can finish ones I've started. I have one novel finished that I did for NaNo a couple of years ago, Gaeth's Way. All it needs is a bit of rewriting and editing. My husband has read and helped with the first 30 pages. I haven't looked at it in months. Why? Because I keep coming up with more ideas.
I blame my "idea faeries" for constantly bombarding me with new plots and characters. Beltaine has been elected as the arch-faerie for the coming year. I think she's a good choice, even though I had no input in the faeries' selection process. She is somewhat more in control than the others. Oh, Aslata was good; but she did nothing to screen the others. She let all of them get to me with hundreds of ideas the year she was arch-faerie. I will admit that the majority of the ideas were of interest to me. But I have faith and hope that Beltaine will do her...

Play List
November 7, 2008
My Play List this moring is:
Sealed With a Kiss – Bobby Vinton
Lovers who Wander- Dion
Sunshine Superman- Donovan
Into the Night – Santana
Wild One- Bobby Rydell
I'm not sure what these say about my mood, except that I'm forever the romantic...
Some of my favorite lines and re-compined phrases include:
Any trick in the book and I'll blow your little mind
I'll send you all my love and fill my emptiness knowing all the love I'll miss
I'll get you yet, you bet... someday it's gonna be me and only me
I'll clip your wings and things
You've got the hips that I'm wild about; I've got the lips that'll knock you out
I'm the luckiest guy in the human race
Like a gift from the heaven, it was easy to tell It was love from above that could save me from hell
Like a piece to the puzzle that falls into place You could tell how we felt from the look on our faces
She had fire in her soul
Like a gift from the heavens (may as well copy all the lyrics from Into the Night)

Well, the election is finally over.
This was Andy's first presidential election to vote in. He was really into it, reading about the candidates online, and watching news shows on TV. So we have one new, informed voter in the US.
I ended up voting for Barr, the Libertarian candidate. I was undecided until I actually marked the ballot. I just couldn't bring myself to vote for either of the major two who were running. And the country moves on...
When we moved to Huntsville from St. Louis, I was fortunate to already have a friend here. Laura and I had known each other online via a writing group for about 3 years before we actually met. What a fun time! She works in the same building as Rick, but for one of Boeing's contractors. She and I have a good time together. And guess what. She talks as much as I do! (tee-hee). We try to meet for lunch every week or two, and she often comes by after work or on weekends. She knows more about wine (used to manage an up-scale wine shop) than most people would ever dream of knowing.
My friend, Kim who lives next door,...
